I really like the product! Upon construction, you will need some glue to keep some pieces, and sand down the stair pieces from the main deck to the upper deck. It isn't bad, but just be ready.

The base was kinda wobbly and some parts don’t want to stay together but a little super glue fixes both problems

I have built a few of these brand products. Boxes, ships, and now the airship. This was the hardest for these reasons:1. The instructions are minuscule and not very good2. The video linked is mostly out of frame with the camera3. The second part of the main frame (pictured) took a lot of gentle and firm pressure to actually get to insert correctly. (The picture shows the gap I had and eventually the connection happened. What I liked or hints:1. Glue the back staircase rungs to the frame. I can’t even tell you how many times I wiggled it to get a piece in and it all fell apart.2. The rest of the build is easy. The a/b pieces are basically the cross points and there are extras. The video shows them tapping them in, but gentle pressure worked well on all pieces for the ship and most of the stand.3. Once assembled, it needed a bit of glue on the frame pieces (the spines? Ring holders). Not a big deal. It is sturdy once assembled and even if you wanted to break it down, those pieces are easily stored fused together.4. This was a fun and challenging build. The negative:1. It is a little wobbly on the stand but won’t fall over. So it is minor.2. There are extra a/b cross pieces (not a negative because they may be necessary if you break one) and this weird round piece I can’t figure out. On the video, it is unused as well.3. That one top part of the spine really was trickier than anything I have built And it was just getting it to fit. The video looks so easy, but mine wasn’t. I may have damaged the deck a bit in the process as it doesn’t sit quite right. I may use a bit of glue to fix it, but I do know that this won’t be a model I will be breaking down to store. That’s really why I deleted a star. It’s excellent quality, quite sturdy when built. Patience is always a requirement to build these types if models. This was fun to build.

This was a fun project for DnD. However, there are some issues with the directions being vague and lacking step by step details and having very small print. Another issue is the sturdiness of some of the areas of the piece. It was knocked over, which is a user issue I am aware, and two attached pieces snapped off. This was remedied by using super glue, but the structural integrity of the piece is in question and I am having to come up with solutions to strengthen the vulnerable areas.

The ship is very cool. Good size, not too flimsy. The written directions are a single sheet, are missing steps, and lack good details. There’s a link to a video, which helps. But some things happen off screen, or very close to being off screen, so they aren’t so great, either.I used some wood glue to improve the stability, and there are some parts that are too loose, so you probably need to do this, too. But most parts fit pretty snuggly. I also put multiple coats of polyurethane on it to help prevent water damage or scratches, but I don’t think you really need to do that. It seemed like a good precaution to me.Overall, I really like this model. But I wouldn’t suggest it for young(er) Children or people without any experience with models.

I've been assembling laser cut MDF projects for awhile now and I must admit, this was one of the more challenging projects I've put together to date. The design is clever, but it does take some level of coordination and a lot of patience. You can't move quickly on assembly of this model. One of my favorite aspects was the fact that the laser cuts go all the way through and removal from the punch boards is easy - they literally fell out! Why is this important? Many times you will get such a project and punching the pieces out can be difficult, especially if you don't want to splinter the wood. This company did a fantastic job ensuring quality cuts.My least favorite aspect, and as others here have said, the instructions and the video (link to web site included in the package) are fairly poor quality. It took a lot of patience and some time to analyze the pieces to figure out some of the steps required. You literally need to put 2 and 2 together in many cases. The instructions are completely lacking in detail when it comes to assembling the interlocking wooden pins of various sizes. This took a moment to figure out which size went were and how they interlocked together. When starting out, it is a bit of a precarious build and I personally feel they overcomplicated the first four pieces. These could have easily been created as two primary pieces - but this would require a re-layout of the MDF punch board and a slightly longer shipping box. Two pieces would have also made it a little sturdier. After the built was completed, I had several pieces left over. I believe they are extras , but one piece in particular isn't listed in the instructions (as far as I can tell) and I don't see any obvious location for it on the model - In the last photo showing extra pieces, it's the odd, round piece.I have found that gluing pieces together and clamping using binder clips helps create additional sturdiness, especially on the top deck stairs, etc. If I had thought about it soon, I probably would have glued the entire unit from the beginning to give it a little more regigity.Once mounted, the unit is slightly wobbly but overall, it seems just fine.I wish the base was an acrylic stand. A friend of mine has a laser cutter and I might disassemble the base and give him the armature to replicate the stand in acrylic for me to give it a true flying look.Overall, 4-stars if you're not dissuaded by poor instructions and a challenging build.2020-03-16 UPDATE: Just purchased a second model for ship-to-ship battles. Paired this with the Melee Mats Vinyl (Sky) Battle Game Mat - 48x72 and of course the Dungeons and Dragons 5e Eberron Rising from the Last War campaign book.

An amazing item. The look gives my table a unique style. My players can't wait to jump on board.Only gripe is that the assembly instructions are very small and difficult to read. I had to look up a YouTube video to actually put it together.

Even unpainted, this will surely wow your eberron or other D&D campaign players. Give it a shot if you want something larger than the standard Skycoach!

I got this as a gift for my 20-yr-old son and he was able to assemble it fairly quickly. Some of the pieces required a little filing to fit together properly and one piece of wood was a little curved, but nothing a stack of heavy books couldn’t fix. He’s excited to use it for his next D&D game!

Our first flight on this airship, a white dragon managed to land on it and, with one nasty breath, kill our pilot causing the airship to crash and leave us stranded on an island. You would think with the advances in aircraft design they could install something that would prevent dragons from landing on it or at least shield the pilot from breath weapons, but noooo. There was also no in-flight beverage service, so I'll have to give this one only two stars.

This was a hard model to build because there was an issue with the instructions but I contacted the vendor and they were wonderful to work with. I have to say they are one of the best companies I have ever worked with. I have ordered many many products from them and they are my favorite vendor. Strongly recommend due to amazing customer service.

Seems stable and was fun to put together. My one complaint is that the pictures printed in the instructions were fairly low resolution and somewhat hard to figure out what they wanted me to do at times.
