You can't play a game called Dungeons & Dragons without dragons. And who better than this huge dragon to strike fear into any player's heart?

Gold dragons were the strongest and most majestic of the metallic dragons, and were considered the apex of the draconic race. Graceful and wise, they were relentless and dedicated foes of evil, injustice, and foul play. While respected for their fairness and knowledge, they were also grim and reserved, and usually avoided casual contact with other dragons.

Red dragons, referred to by sages as D. conflagratio horribilis, were covetous, evil creatures, interested only in their own well-being, vanity and the extension of their treasure hoards. They were supremely confident of their own abilities and were prone to making snap decisions without any forethought.
The largest and most powerful of the chromatic dragons, red dragons were also the most fearsome and cruel. These dragons delighted in ruin, death and destruction. They breathed a cone of fire.

Black dragons, also known as skull dragons, were far and away the most vile tempered and cruel of all chromatic dragons. They were solitary creatures that lived in the swamps and marshlands all around Toril, from the Flooded Forest in Sembia to the jungles of Chult. These huge monsters are as terrifying as they are deadly. Solitary creatures that live in swamps and marshlands, the beasts prowl the marshlands for prey to torment. When they find it, the prey loses all sense of itself in terror and turns to flee, only to be melted by a blast of the dragon's acid breath weapon.

Dzalmus, also known as dzalmaus dragons, were three-headed dragons native to the Hordelands. Their cruel hunting habits and voracious appetite made them the bane of barbarians living in the region.
