【Board Game Miscellaneous】D&D 5E Eberron is Coming Soon: Rising From the Last War
2019-10-31

Eberron is back! It was first introduced in 2004 as the culmination of Wizard of the Coast's Fantasy Setting Search, a competition to determine the next fantasy setting. Fans were drawn to Eberron due to its unique and mold-breaking take on various fantasy races, as well as its unique blend of dark adventure, technology, and magic in a single setting.

Wizards of the Coast updated Eberron for Fifth Edition with the release of Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron, a digital campaign setting guide that served to playtest various Eberron rules before their official release in Eberron: Rising From the Last War. This campaign sourcebook provides everything players and Dungeon Masters need to play Dungeons & Dragons in Eberron. Welcome to a war-torn world filled with magic-fueled technology, airships, and lightning trains…a place where noir-inspired mystery meets swashbuckling adventure. Will Eberron enter a prosperous new age or will the shadow of war descend once again?
Players can dive straight into your pulp adventures with easy-to-use locations, complete with maps of floating castles, skyscrapers, and more. They can explore Sharn, a city of skyscrapers, airships, and noirish intrigue and a crossroads for the world’s war-ravaged peoples, or venture into the mist-cloaked Mournland, a corpse-littered land twisted by magic where adventurers must confront horrific monsters born from the world’s devastating wars.
Players can flesh out their party with a new D&D game element called a group patron—a background for all of your characters. Also, get ready to explore sixteen new race/subrace options including dragon marks, which magically transform certain members of the races in the Player’s Handbook. Finally, there is the artificer—the first official class to be released for fifth edition D&D since the Player’s Handbook. With this new character, players can use magic and invention to meld and craft objects of wonder.
In addition, the following products will be launched soon to make the new scene more playable.

Rising From the Last War DM Screen

Designed specifically for use alongside Eberron, this new Dungeon Master Screen is the perfect guide to Khorvaire. Containing Dragon Marks and their houses, the Deities of Eberron, Goods, and Services, and a list of Common Names, this screen will help you bring the world of Eberron to life.

Rising From the Last War Map Set

Discover the world of Eberron with this set of maps designed to immerse your party into the nations of Khorvaire. Featuring three over-scale maps, perfectly designed for your tabletop, these maps allow your adventurers to see all the realm of Eberron in all its glory.

Eberron Warforged Miniatures Set

The Warforged were built to fight in the Last War. Built as weapons, they must now find a purpose beyond their creator’s original intent.

To complement the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons Eberron book, Gale Force Nine is releasing a new set of unpainted Collector’s Series miniatures. Available as a box of three models, this Warforged figures set is a great way to get all of these awesome new miniatures together. This set will allow you to bring the adventure to life on your tabletop.

Rising From the Last War Lord of Blades Miniature

This hulking monstrosity is a Warforged warlord, who has broken all ties with his former human masters. A mechanized beacon for all the Warforged, the Lord of Blades literally stands head and shoulders above its compatriots. The unpainted figure is a perfect addition to this exciting new series of figures.
I personally think that as a DM or player, first off, it is very important to understand and read the ins and outs of a storyline. Sometimes it completes a rich and interesting campaign, not completely dependent on battle and exploration, but full of infinite puzzles and secrets, which add to our mystery in the game. And more importantly, as a good DM, how-to guide the player to explore better in exploring new scenes, this needs to be clearly Ideas, and the ability to convey ideas in a simple and understandable way. The only effective way is to be familiar with and understand the data. So let's look forward to the return of Eberron on November 19th, and let us look forward to the wonders of the new scene.
