This is definitely either a starter crossbow or low budget crossbow. But at this price you can't go wrong with this item. It is sturdy and durable. I have only tested it at ranges of 25 yards and under but it is very accurate at that range. The only thing I don't like it's at there is no notch on the stock for the cocking assist rope device. You have to be careful when cocking it with a rope device that it doesn't slip off. Also the safety is very hard to push but I guess I can be a good thing. I definitely recommend this bow if you are looking for something just to start out with or are on a very low budget. Don't let the price fool you... This thing is powerful and will definitely bring down a whitetail deer.

Both my sons loved these (they're 8 and 12) and they seem to be really very sturdy. Neither has broken theirs yet. They are however, quite powerful and that's great if that's what you want, but less so for your unsuspecting victim. It hurts! Seriously, my boys faces lit up and they haven't put these down yet. One of their most played-with toys I would say.

Excellent crossbow. Been whitetail hunting with it for two years now and bagged three deer. The scope is not great, and pretty much useless in low light at dawn and dusk. The bow is rugged and accurate and hard hitting. I've been using 100 grain mechanical broadheads, and the bolts shoot just like with the field points. Great weight for walking or stalking. I'm not a big guy at 5'7 , so this has become my go-to over a larger and heavier Barnett compound unless I'm in a tree-stand with a support bar. Light enough for a youth hunter to use, too. If you're over six foot, it might be a little too small to be comfortable.

A great toy. My son has played with this lots and has loads of fun. It's plastic but seems fairly robust. The string will need replacing soon, shame you only get one string with it.

Crossbow for my 8 yr old son. He loves it and it's good fun for childish adults too! Great firing range, bought target to go with - less likely to aim at family members hopefully!

We bought these for our two grandkids (aged 7 and 9) and ended up having house battles and a real giggle. These have just enough oomph for decent distance, but not too much to make them a concern.

The kids three weeks on still have them alongside their 'Nerf' armoury....

Very fast and accurate. A little on the heavier side, but that adds to stability in my opinion. The sling is comfortable and does not slide off your shoulder. I’m not a big fan of the circle reticle or the push button adjustment for the illumination, but I already have a nice Hawke Optics scope with the speed adjustment to throw on it. The trigger is crisp and easy to get used to. Light, but not too light. Overall, I would highly recommend this crossbow. A side note, although I haven’t needed it for this crossbow, my experience with Barnett customer service has always been on point, and they are very courteous!
