I like these but more for adults not for kids

I am very happy with my new waxed canvas lunch bag. The color and the size of the bag are exactly as I expected. The bag can fit at least a lunch box filled with salad, a bottle of tea or water, dessert and a fruit. Another part I love about this product is that the bag is delivered with a small cotton bag for a teaspoon and a fork and a cotton handkerchief. It all fits my plastic free lifestyle and moreover the bag fits also the insulated waxed canvas lunch bag also bought from Asebbo. I highly recommend this product, it keeps your food fresh and it's easy to fold. Deeply satisfied.

This waxed canvas lunch bag from ASEBBO is extremely well made! The stitchings are reinforced inside, the material is sturdy (with 16 oz thickness you can really tell the difference) and the capacity of the bag is more than generous (you can easily carry 2-3 meals with this baby).This is not my first ASEBBO buy, I also bought the other lunch bag they sell, the insulated one. I am extremely satisfied with the insulated bag as well, but I decided to buy this one because it fits very well in my rucksack or lunch bag, so when I am not in the mood to carry an extra bag, I have this 2nd option in place.Even though this bag is not insulated (if would have been, then I guess the product would not have been biodegradable any more), my lunch is still cold enough when I eat it. I guess the thick material, and the fact that you can roll down the bag, plays a significant role here, so this bag does still insulate the food somehow.What I like about this product are the small details: the beautiful cardboard box, the thank you card, the tableware napkin, and flatware bag are quite useful and do make the whole package more attractive.I always appreciate well-made products and when a company strives to make its clients happy. This is why I wrote this long review, bearing in mind that feedbacks like mine are a way of saying thank you and can also support others to make wise decisions when deciding on their lunch bag.

Before I review this purchase I believe it is only fair to state my credentials and reveal that I am a professional lunch bringer, with a track record of over 99% of lunches brought directly from home. Now that we got this out of the way, I will do my best to write a constructive review for this item and hope it help you with your decision.First of all: Shipping. I was super impressed of how fast this item arrived - so much so that when I got my package 2 business days after ordering I was questioning weather or not I bought something else in the past that never made it to my door.First impression: The items in the box is such a nice way to receive an item! I bought it for myself and opening it still felt like I was getting a gift. Loved it!The look: Also great! The bag looks and feels better than the pictures. I got mine in brown and it looks just like a cooler version of the brown paper bag. Both my office mates complimented me on it. While the fabric is waxed for waterproofing purposes, the wax coat is not heavy and the cotton retains some of its softness and its pliability - yet will hold its shape when you fold the top. The cutlery bag and the napkin, while made from the same fabric, are not waxed and are gentle to the touch.The size: Super! People usually use different types of containers to store their lunch - the long-shallow containers or the short, taller containers or sometimes a mix with containers that stack onto one another - in which you can store desserts separate from salads and main meals for example. I have the long, flatter version and it fits marvelously into the bag with plenty of space above and not a lot of room for it to jiggle sideways - which I appreciate. You should have absolutely not problem with a similar, taller container and absolutely no issue with one of those square base taller containers - as there is plenty of space in the bag. I add my fruit and cutlery and still have plenty left.Also, I carry mine with the top folded in my (medium size) backpack and it still leaves room for a wallet, small umbrella, a scarf, a couple of grocery bags, a decent size book and a bunch of random other small stuff like pens or mini toiletries.Quality: I like it! You can tell that care was put into this product. Even the cutlery bag is well made and slides nicely when you close it. For all items, there are no loose seams and no funky smells - although I personally like washing everything I buy that is intended for eating purposes.A word of caution: since the bag is waxed it will protect its content from spilling - however don't expect miracles. I tested mine (unintentionally) in some of the worst conditions: carrying a very juicy vegetable mixture, using a container which I either did not close properly or which was a container - which was also placed sideways in my backpack - which travels for about an hour and constantly shift position depending on whether or not I find a place in the bus or metro or am walking uphill towards work. As expected some of that juice did spill - I found most of it in a puddle at the bottom on the bag, however around 5% of it did make it through the cotton. This will clearly not be a problem if you drive to work and your containers spend the ride relaxing flat on the backseat, however if you're like me you will need to double check that your lunch is properly closed and/ or invest in a quality container.The practical side of it: Since the bag is not insulated, you can safely use it to carry your lunch if your workplace is less than 2 hours away from your house. If you live in a very warm climate and it's very hot outside (think 30C or 90F) when you leave the house you should probably be safe if your travel time is around 1 hour.I take my bag out of the backpack and put it directly in the fridge as it - and I haven't had any issues with it becoming to stiff (as I've seen with another waxed canvas item).The bonus: It feels fancy! When you open your bag, take out the napkin and then carefully extract your utensils from their very own pouch - you get that type of feelin

I bought this waxed canvas bag because I wanted an environmentally friendly product. But I got much more:The bag is very roomy (I could say quite large because it fits inside minimum 2 meals if not more) and sturdy. The delivery was very prompt. Nothing to complain.

This waxed canvas lunch bag is much larger than expected! I inserted inside at least 5 food containers with my lunch and dinner meals and I was still left with space on top, after rolling the bag. 5 stars also for the sturdy material and top quality execution!

The waxed canvas material is ridiculously sturdy. It's seriously roomy. For example, a standard lunch sack Paper bag is 5-1/8 x 3-1/8 x 10-5/8 . This puppy is 14x8.3x5.5 inch, so almost 3 times the room.While the lunch bag itself isn't insulated, it does allow for a frozen gel pack to stay frozen until I'm ready for lunch. You can pack 2 meals and a snack in this thing.The top does stay closed when you roll it down. It has a couple metal reinforcement bars sewn into the fabric to help. And the packaging does make for nice looking gift pack, if you are so inclined.Bottom Line: It's a great lunch bag that will hold up in rugged travel (mine rides on my motorcycle just fine). Roomy and sturdy, I doubt you'll hate it.

Didn’t think I would have to re-wax it. It used to be a little stiff but now it’s not at all stiff.

I constantly get compliments in my office on this bag. It has washed out in color after a couple of trips through the washing machine, but it just adds to the brown bag look. I just wish it was a liiiiittle bigger, it doesn't quite fit my standard sized rectangular tupperware.

Hubby still likes it and that is my proof of good product, one that is used well. I can imagine it will only become better as it softens up with use, sort of feels carhartt at first.

 I received this beautiful lunch bag from my husband (who wants to encourage me consuming less plastic and paper bags) and definitely, this product is special and made to last. I liked that the company invested a lot of effort into each and every detail (I love the cartoon box and the quality of the inserts, the tableware sack and napkin are also of very good quality). All these signalize to me care for the customers and the fact that they are professional in what they do.The bag is spacious and sturdy and you can carry quite a lot of food. It can be easily folded and is occupying quite a small space once folded if you had already eaten your lunch and want to store your lunch bag into your backpack or laptop bag.Definitely, 110% recommend this product!
