It's not worth the buy. You read the reviews that talk about the larger stand being flimsy. Used it for the first time last night... yup. Its super flimsy, the mini can stand on it, but it's a balancing act and not good at all.Don't. Buy.

I like it because it's strong, although the 1x1 platform is a bit shakier than the 4x4, but it makes sense.

I love how I can measure low and high distances for both small and large minis with this product. It gives me multiple options for simulating aerial combat.

These got a lot of comments from my players when I put them on my table. They look great and are very simple to use. As you can see from my photo, I marked the altitude on the stems with a simple dot from a red dry-erase marker. Most importantly, the laser-cut acrylic pieces make a very snug fit that doesn’t wobble. I even set a solid resin Gargantuan mini on top of the larger of the two stands and there was no problem with the weight. I’ll be using these for years to come. If there is one criticism, it’s that the numbers are slightly hazy to read through the acrylic, but that is truly a trifling problem and doesn’t take away from how good this product is.***EDIT*** I stupidly missed that the “haziness” I was experiencing on the stands was because of a protective film on the surface. I peeled it off and it looks perfect! Apologies...

My bf is a dungeon master and we had been looking for a stand for minis and couldn’t find any that we liked. These worked like a charm.

I like this product a lot because I enjoy ttrpgs and fly characters are awesome but irs such a pain constantly trying to remember the heights. I think this product is great but I would pay more money for a few slight improvements. Instead of having to use a dry erase marker to mark your height use a adjustable slider. And maybe make the top platform able to grip the mini you put on top of the item. Most mini's are pretty fragile and sometimes even a few inch falls could result in a crack of break. And lastly I wish you could only have measurements in feet or hundreds of feet insteadof thousands. Only because I play dnd, where you will never be able to fly that high during combat. I do understand that in other games that height may be needed just not what i need. Other than those 3 things this product is great.

Folks - these flying miniatures combat risers aren't just for D&D! I use them for X-Wing and Star Trek Attack Wing, and others! Finally! These are a great way to indicate height! I am reminded of the scene in Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan where Spock mentions to Kirk that Khan seems to be using two-dimensional combat techniques. Kirk immediately tells Sulu Z minus 10,000 Meters . So they go straight down and come back up in the back of Khan! Fantastic! Now everyone has a way to recreate three-dimensional combat! Can't recommend these at a total of five stars because they sometimes wobble even if put together corrrectly! But I say, foget that! Use a tiny bit of 'Green Goop' and move it when necessary! Make it so!

Our D&D group owns a boat, so we used the model in the picture. Plus, one of the PCs is flying, so his mini is on a pedestal that indicates flight that I bought from the same company that made the boat and gave my husband for a Father's Day gift .

I am pretty happy that I purchased a set of these combat risers. They look nice and when they are assembled, seem sturdy enough to hold even metal minis of the corresponding sizes, though I admit I don't have any metal minis of the larger size. They can be disassembled and stored in a nice little plastic case (included) for storage and travel. My only two complaints about them are minor:1. it would be nice if they could be a little cheaper.2. The adhesive protective layer of plastic was REALLY difficult to remove. I was glad they were there to keep the pieces from getting scratched up, but it would be nice if somehow there was one corner with a tab or something that you could grab to peel off the protective sticker more easily.I could see myself buying another set someday for battles with more than two flying creatures, but as I said earlier, it would be nice if they could be a little cheaper without the quality suffering.

These are nice however they are fragile and break too easy. Especially for the price.
