Pretty easy to assemble. Everything snaps in fine and the instructions are easy to follow. The front of the ship is a little thin and I accidentally snapped it off when setting it down (totally my fault. Put too much force on it.) The grid is great and easy to see from a distance. The only thing I would have liked to see would be some cannons included, but I’ll just print some out. All in all it’s hard to find something to complain about.

I chose this one over the prettier one because it was wood and not paper. The wood is a little on the thin side but it will suffice. Painting it maybe a challenge because I do like the squares to denote distance for miniatures. The illustrations for beds, tables etc are much too small, but that is a minor thing. Over all I really like it and would recommend the purchase.

I bought a ship similar to this one and paid over 100 dollars for it. It is heavier and uses cleaver magnates to assemble and dissemble and also has 3 masts. However in play, both ships function very similarly and this one was a fraction of the price. That being said, this is a much lighter model. The first thing I did was snap off the front bow when I attempted to quickly assemble this piece. GO VERY SLOWLY when you begin to assemble this guy until you get the hang of it. It really goes together quite easily and is very intuitive. This guy looks great and for the price I favor it over the much more expensive model. Now I need this @#%$ pandemic to be over so we can get back to live play.

Great product, but it was missing one of the support beams.

I bought this for my DM’s birthday since we were going to be doing airship travel a lot. He was quite excited and assembled it right away especially since it was going to be needed for that session. It went together fairly easy. Seems sturdy enough and well mapped out

The ship looks great, and it was easier to assemble than I feared. I was careful with the pieces and didn't strain them. It all went together without much problem. I probably won't disassemble the ship, as I don't want the pieces to wear. The only slight negative is that the boat rocks side-to-side a little bit. The stern (and maybe the bow) piece is not flush with the side pieces. It might also be slight warping, though everything looked flat. A little pressure and it doesn't rock, so I'm sure it will be just fine with models on it, and a tiny bit of sanding will fix it. The ship looks great, though. Can't wait to use it in our pirate-themed Shadow of the Demon Lord game.

I will say, I fully recommend it.HOWEVERthe pictures are deceiving. At least, for me; mine didn't come with little stairs or those cutout holes for them. Maybe the product changed since I bought it; and its not a deal-breaker.Running a pirate campaign for dnd, when the Wizkids ship mini is 170-250$; this was a much better option.Looking at the pictures, as I was searching for a second ship; I realized they have stairs now, and I don't recall that being a feature back in Jan. when I purchased mine. Again, I'd love to have them, but its not a problem to not.Fully recommend, buy it; your players and group will love it!

This was tricky to build but I had read the reviews, so knew a couple of pieces would give me issues ifI wasn’t careful. The main spine if the boat took some gently pressure but everything gave me no issue. I was missing a piece and they emailed me back well within 24 hours and sent me the piece along with some free wood mini’s. This was the second boat I purchased for my sea adventure and have built three of their models with no breakage.

Purchased this for a wet 'Firefly' game I'm running and it is just what I needed. Not a hard build, took less than an hour. A friend bought a pair of ships for the game and this one will allow for serious multi-vessel action!Assembly notes: A small sheet shows the step by step build, easy to figure out . . . proper alignment of the tabs to connect pieces can be a little tricky but be patient.- I suggest that you attach piece J and one set of stairs to the bottom of the quarterdeck (D) FIRST and then attach that assembly to the main deck. Same forward, attach piece F and one set of stairs to the bottom of the forecastle (C) FIRST and then attach that assembly to the main deck.

It looks exactly like the picture and the size is really nice. Although when assembling they leave a lot of space in between the connecting parts but it works if you hot glue it which is like the only way to assemble it. But its really good to play on! Worth the buy

I like it, but bottom deck is difficult to access. I wish it included a mast to make it appear more boat-like. I'm gonna have get creative for that.

My present to my husband for his birthday, which was appreciated as his campaign is heavy on the sea transports. He said it was difficult to put together without extra hands. Once he did he was so happy and couldn't wait to use it. Then my cats decided to play dungeon master and tried to take it apart for him while throwing dice all over the floor. Needless to say I put it together again and hid it from silly kitties that love rpgs.

Such a great addition to any naval campaign. I bought two to simulate boarding action. Was not disapointed.

It was a little confusing to assemble when to use the larger wooden stud/pegs, but otherwise it was fun setting up!

I wish these were available a year ago, if they were I didn't know about them, because I needed a ship for some sea sessions in our D&D game. The only thing available were expensive resin ships ($200), wooden model ships meant for display, or foam puzzle ships. I went with the latter, which worked, but I like this so much better. It just fits the D&D style better and I love the squares which help with movement count. I'm going to have to take my group back out to the sea now.

One thing to note, because I didn't notice right away and had some difficulty keeping it together as I assembled. It comes with a sheet of shims that look like shields that you use to keep the connections tight. Add these as you put the ship together and you'll have an easy time.
