My son and his friends have recently discovered the world of dungeons and dragons. This was a perfect gift. My son loved the case since it looked like a spell book. There are plenty of rings and they are well made and durable, each with their own color coding.
The wood is a little fragile, so be careful when removing it from the the cutout. They look perfect though! A little thin I think for my taste, but still awesome.

Knowing the condition of a character, especially during combat can be difficult at times. These laser cut wooden rings seek to solve this issue. Engraved with the condition name around the ring, it fits either around or below the character's miniature. The contrast of the letters makes them relatively easy to read but all of the conditions look the same from a distance on the table. I'm not sure what could aid in discerning one from the other. They even provide a couple of sanding boards to sand down any rough spots left over from taking them out of the frame. A great addition to my game!

Got this as a gift for a friend who likes collecting little shiny things. He was absolutely delighted to put it together. I tested fitting the pieces together before gifting it just to be sure it would come together properly, and it seemed very well made. Good gift for D&D and collector types.
In our family we have played D&D since the mid 1970's. We still do. These are a great item if you love the game. D&D is a social experience, and that means drinks and snacks. Even in Arizona cold drinks mean water rings if you don't use coasters. These are wood and function well for that. The laser engraving is crisp and the artwork is good. The little stand needs some assembly, but it just takes a few minutes. If you have worked with wood models in the past you know how after you remove them from their sheets you have to do a little trimming on the edges, especially where they join the wood framework. These are no different, but this is normal and not a big deal. I felt like the stand would be a bit fragile if I just fit it together, so I used a drop of white glue wherever I could and removed the excess with a tissue. That worked well, and the glue was dry an hour later. The stand is quite sturdy now. All in all I like this set.
