For such a cheap price this is a very well-made dice tower! Assembly took quite a while (about an hour and a half) as I had to restart because the instructions aren't very clear. Be gentle with the screws or they may split the wood. I loved the foldable aspect, though! Made it much easier to wrap and gift my boyfriend.
Only minor difficulties for a first-time wooden model builder, mostly just with the stairs. Zero glue required but I used a little bit of super glue on the support beams just for extra security, but totally unnecessary. Instructions are easy enough. This thing was exactly what I was looking for in the next leg of my kid's campaign. Theater of the mind is great, but putting an physical item to it really helps them get into it. Sturdy construction, assembly was a little touch and go, but after it's completed, it's a great little ship.
The catapult is amazing! shoots very far, and has two hooks on the bottom for different strengths. Some sanding is required on one piece during construction, and I do suggest some glue if you wish to do so.
Very cool product. The swiveling platforms and separate hights between them will give aerial combat a far greater visual/tactile feel. It is a wee bit fragile though, the bottom platform cracked after I put it together for the first time. Still seems to work though so I will be using it in our next appropriate combat for sure!
Doesn't really seem to have a good system for marking. It looks like it's intended to be used with a marker, but then you're picking it up constantly to mark it in addition to just moving it around. Which isn't exactly different from if it'd had like a little plastic piece that moves down notches, but this is definitely more tedious what with picking up the marker, pulling off... well, I'm sure you guys know how a marker works. Anyway, my disappointment is purely born of ill-set expectations; the blame for which I'm afraid is wholly on my part since I wouldn't expect a disclaimer be necessary since none of these other reviews seem to have this misconception. Perhaps something people would want to know though, is that most minis are going to weigh more than the base of these stands. So they will topple easily. But somehow that doesn't seem like it's as big of a deal to me.Regardless, this will make an excellent gift because whoever you give it to won't have such petty qualms since they didn't spend money on it and it's definitely useful.

The ladders and planks are cute, but what is really needed is a section of dock that changes elevation (or two- if you're going to have two different elevations).

I really like the product! Upon construction, you will need some glue to keep some pieces, and sand down the stair pieces from the main deck to the upper deck. It isn't bad, but just be ready.
I am able to clearly see where lines are! Makes it super easy to grid out spells and other effects. Would definitely suggest for both DM and player alike.
